Extreme Makeover Home Edition Italia

This is the title chosen for the Italian edition of the famous format that donates a”dream home” for needy, deserving families.


After its success in many countries, Extreme Makeover debuts next fall (2012) in Italy, hosted by the famous Italian presenter Alessia Marcuzzi.

She will be flanked by a team of experts in interior design and landscaping, who will be involved in the restructuring of several houses, giving their owners a new life.


Human health, bio-construction and eco-compatibility guide each project and this is why Biopietra was chosen for installing the cladding and flooring of some of the more important houses in the Italian program.

This is an important collaboration for Biopietra, thus contributing in increasing the awareness of Italians concerning the importance of sustainable living.

New colours for Bergamo claddings and “Wood” range floorings

In order to meet the customers’ requirements with an increasingly wide range of solutions, Kerma has decided to enrich Biopietra® claddings and floorings with new colours. The products interested by this innovation about colours are Bergamo claddings of Biopietra® collection and the ”Wood” range floorings.

As regards the first ones, in addition to the traditional “Beige Credaro” colour, other two alternatives – “Giada” and “Muschio” – are now available, which are ideal to recreate the different shades of the local stone accurately.

New Provençal colours – “Ulivo”, “Sughero” and “Mogano” – enrich and complete, on the other hand, the special ”Wood” range floorings suitable for outside solutions. Thanks to the new colours available it’ll be much easier to find out the perfect solution!

Since 2000 the Big Brother (known in Italy even as GF), king of the TV world reality shows, based on the Dutch Big Brother format produced by Endemol, in Italy is transmitted by “Canale 5” (Channel 5). The opening of the doors of the new home of Big Brother 10 (GF 10) is very near and the interviews are going on with non-stop to find the new unknown faces who will soon get their fame.

Even for the edition of GF10 Endemol, the production company of the reality show, has chosen Kerma as partner to cover the Home nr. 1 in Italy, because Kerma is a leader company with its products which are completely bio-compatible.

We have arrived at the second issue of Biopietra Magazine, Kerma’s informative tool created to provide final consumers with useful information, curious facts, statistics and points of view from experts in the sector. A year has passed since the launch of the first issue of Biopietra Magazine, and we are very proud to renew and to increase the topics concerning eco-friendly and eco-sustainable solutions and tools.



We are happy, above all, to see the interest that the first issue of the magazine has generated, and we hope that also this second issue could satisfy the expectations of a reader, who is more and more exigent and informed.

Two collections are in the spotlight, Biopietra and Biopietra Prestige Collection: two versions of the same concept, two ways of thinking and looking at bio-architecture, beginning from the same inspirational principles.

With this issue of Biopietra Magazine we tackle the topics presented, discussing both sides of the story and analysing the potential of both collections, as if it was a double interview. On the one hand, the Biopietra line, imbued with cultural values, anchored in tradition and in the values of healthy living and building; on the other hand, the Biopietra Prestige Collection, cutting-edge innovator of ecological building materials and the perfect solution for achieving the extreme personalisation of environments.
